The Many Moods of Zach

All in one night, we had so many emotions:

The "Will these molars just come in already?"

The "I SO have mommy wrapped around my finger."

The "Thinker"

The "I'm So smart and So busted!"

The "Ooh prunes make me feel so much better!" OR (picture this - minus prunes on his face) The "I'm so cool - the Ladies love me!"

And The "It's been a damn good week - and I'm feelin' good"

Palmier Printemps

This past weekend, we took a trip to Palm Spring for my company retreat. Since we had some time to kill before check-in, we hung out in Rancho Mirage at the Lakes. We spent a good portion of our time in Borders Book Store. Zach was having a field day, running down aisles and playing in the childrens section. The air conditioning system in this place was awesome. We then went to grab some food at a place
Aqua something... The waitresses loved Zach and held him while Randi and I ate some food. That was worth a good tip.

We then went to our destination, La Quinta Resort. We played in the pool, then Zach took an unreal afternoon nap, then "Betsy" the babysitter came so that Randi and I could go to my firm's dinner. The nice thing about "Betsy" was that she was the babysitter last year when we stayed at La Quinta. What wasn't comforting is that "Betsy" asked if we had a stroller so that she could take Zach on a walk. Since we sort of knew her, we gave her the stroller. Well, during the entire firm dinner, all Randi and I could talk about was whether we thought "Betsy" was going to kidnap Zach. Thank g-d we got back and Zach was sound asleep.

The morning after, we went to our favorite hangout for breakfast, Cafe Des Beaux on Los something street. When Randi was pregnant, we went to this same restaurant for breakfast. The food is amazing and Zach was into the crayons. Surprised he didn't eat the crayons

Time for a Field Trip

We spent Saturday afternoon at Irvine Regional Park.
It is funny how having a kid changes the definition of "FUN." There was so much to do there.. we enjoyed the train ride and the zoo. Zach's favorite animal was the goat. He barked at the mountain lions, mistaking them for dogs and wanted nothing to do with the bears!

1-0 and Lookin Good

We can not believe it is football season already. We really can not believe how good the Eagles (especially Donovan) looked yesterday. Don't worry, we're not getting too excited yet - we know they played the Rams. Needless to say, the Eagles have been known to blow even that. Last year, Zach was nearly 2 months old. He would lay on a big fluffy pillow and watch the whole game with us.

This year - getting a picture with him wasn't so easy.

Thanks Enelyn - for giving us a few hours out and about to enjoy the game!

To Cut or Not to Cut?

Josh and I have been debating whether or not to cut Zach's hair. We both agree it is out of control but Josh wants "to see how long it can go" without cutting it. I often think a lot about what Zach will look like when he grows up. A few names we have thrown out are Patrick Dempsey (wishful thinking ..), Luke Walton, (Maybe he will be athletic too!!) and then when we were watching one of our favorite shows GREEK - it came to us. He is going to look like Spitter!!

So I look up this guy on the internet and it turns out his name is
Jacob ZACHar! Too weird. I think I feel a haircut coming on!
