We would like to wish our friends and family a very Happy Thanksgiving. We are off to Hawaii with the Borenstein crew ... Personally, I am giving thanks in advance to my sanity!

Infant Weekly Newsletter - November 14, 2008

"Zachary will be transitioning to the toddler side, so for the next few weeks he will be spending a lot of time with his toddler friends. Where has the time gone? It is so difficult to believe that he has grown up so fast. We have enjoyed watching him grow and will miss him, his Mom and Dad, very much."

The staff at the JCC wrote this small blurb about Zach in the infant newsletter this week. I have read it about 10 times and each time, it makes me cry. Thank you so much Amy, Brenda, Enelyn and Yang Sook and the entire staff for taking such good care of our baby this past year. We know you love him as much as we do and are so grateful for everything you have done for him. Amy - Thank you for always watching out for him when he needs teething tablets. Brenda - Thank you for sharing your oatmeal, that is the cutest thing I have ever heard. Enelyn - Zach just adores you, what can I say. And Yang Sook - thank you for always making Zach laugh. We're excited for him to move on but you will always have a special place in all of our hearts.

Zachy is 16 months today. I was trying to snap some pictures of him yesterday but he just keeps running away. His personality is truly emerging - he is such a free spirit and his laugh continues to be contagious.

MAMOOSH

It was a great birthday. Zach gave me some gifts this year, some vey nice gear I must say. It was pretty funny seeing Zach walk across the room to give me my presents. The gifts were wrapped in boxes that were much bigger bigger than him, but, he still managed to carry them. Before going out to dinner, we ate some birhtday cake so that Zach could sing and enjoy with us. It was ice cream cake - my favorite for those that don't know. Randi and I then went to an aweomse dinner, and I ate like a mamoosh. Our waitress gave us free mash potatoes because it was my birthday. Bet you never heard of that before. Got home and polished off the champange. Fun morning. Thanks for making it one of my funner birthdays...

31

Dear Da-Da,
Mommy showed me how to blog this morning before we left for school. I can't believe how old you are getting! Mama also showed me some silly pictures of you when you were younger! I always knew you were funny, but today I can't stop laughing. Now I know why I am such a trouble maker.

I hope you have the best birthday today. I have a surprise for you tonight. Mommy and I love you very much!

Love, Zachy and Mama

Happy Birthday Anna!

Last weekend we went to San Diego to celebrate my friend Anna's 30th birthday! I can never get enough of seeing my college friends and it was well worth the drive - even if it was only for a couple hours. We went to a cute little restaurant called Offshore Tavern. What a great place for sports fans. They even have a Saturday night happy hour! We have been starting to realize, especially during meal time how Zach is really turning into a big boy! He wants to drink out of a big cup, eat his prunes by himself and loves getting out of his highchair. Needless to say, dinners are full of excitement.

OBABA - yes, OBABA

Before CNN made the call about Obama winning the election, we asked Zachy who he thought was going to win. Let's just say that Zachy should be the next Jon King.

Zachy's been up to no good lately. He defintely in the exploring and testing phase. I thought we had 8 more months before the terrible twos would kick in.

Not so.... He was pretty cute on Halloween, however, Zachy was not into the candy... Instead, he collected all the pens and pencils in the office. Whatever makes him happy, right? He was supposed to be a 70s disco dancer but since we couldn't get the wig on, he just looked like Elvis.
