I get so confused. Zach will be 4 months on the 17th but he is already 16 weeks old. I just don't understand which timeline I should be going off of. Anyways, I anticipated it being quite a hard transition going back to work and dropping Zach off at daycare, so we started early. I'm not due back at work for another 6 weeks or so but we started taking Zach to his daycare for a few hours a day this week. If anyone can prescribe me some anxiety medication, I will gladly take it. I have turned into a blood shot eyed zombie looking mom.. I am such a mess it is almost funny. I am glad we are starting early.
Zach is turning into a little man. He has such a sweet personality. My favorite thing is walking in his room in the morning to see the joy in his face. He moves around in his crib like he has ants in his pants.. he is so excited.
His sleep schedule got very messed up Sunday and Monday when the time changed. We have made a huge breakthrough though the last two nights. We have fed Zach, read to him, put on his PJ's, rubbed his belly and put him in his crib before he starts whining and he is actually falling asleep on his own. We are so proud of him. Last night he did not wake up until 6 am. You may be thinking that Josh and I got a good nights sleep as well, but it was quite the opposite. Josh took two tylenol sleeps and had a glass of wine before he went to bed and woke up this morning feeling feeling worse and more groggy than he usually does. I woke up every hour on the hour, wondering when Zachy was going to wake up and to make sure he was still breathing.
He is grabbing toys and rattles literally out of my hands and of course trying to stick them in his mouth. And he is holding his head up amazingly well.
It's bitter sweet watching your baby grow. We are so excited when he hits all of his milestones but I get a small lump in my throat when I think of how fast he is growing.
I know, my blogs are usually funny. We'll get back to that next time.
